Porphyra Burgundy Floral Washable Rug

Porphyra brings burgundy · all-over classic to your home, in the Germanica Washable collection. Made in Türkiye and stocked at our London warehouse in three practical sizes.

The design story

Porphyry, the purple-red stone of emperors, was kept for the most important floors and columns of the Roman world. Porphyra takes that deep red for its field: an all-over pattern of small flowers and vines around a faint central medallion, framed by a rosepink floral border. On chenille the colour has the depth of wine and the softness of velvet — and, unlike porphyry, it goes into the washing machine.

Styling your room

Use with dark wood and leather in a study, or create a warm contrast to grey or navy seating.
