We make 17 abstract designs we would put in a bedroom. This is why the combination works, and what to get right.
No repeating motif, so the rug is effectively a single composition. It behaves like a painting on the floor and suits rooms where it can be the one decorative event.
Aim for 50–60 cm of rug either side of the bed, or use two 80 × 150 cm runners instead. This is the lowest-traffic room in the house, so the practical constraints relax.
Put a abstract design in a bedroom and the floor becomes the one piece of art in the room. Painterly washes and free, non-repeating form. A soft landing either side of the bed.
Across these 17 designs you will find cream & white, orange & terracotta, green & khaki, blue & navy, yellow & gold, grey & silver, lilac & purple, pink & fuchsia, black & anthracite and red & burgundy. They are drawn from 13 separate design sources — Umbra, Solstice, Aurora, Cirrus, Diffusion, Spectra, Mistral and Penumbra and others — each with its own origin.
Chenille polyester on a woven cotton backing with a non-slip finish. Machine washable at 30°C, no underlay needed, no latex or rubber crumb. In a bedroom that is the difference between a rug you protect and a rug you use.
